As industries race toward digital transformation, few leaders have witnessed its impact across borders quite like Mohammad Chowdhury. Having advised governments, CEOs, and boards across nearly ninety countries, Mohammad brings a rare global perspective on how technology and geopolitics are converging to reshape business, leadership, and society.

At the Elevate Business Summit 2026, he will speak on “Technology, Geopolitics, and the Next Decade of Business”  - a timely exploration of how these two powerful forces will redefine industries and leadership priorities in the years ahead.

The Shifting Ground Beneath Global Business

Mohammad has seen firsthand how digitalisation can accelerate growth - and how political and economic realities can just as quickly constrain it.

“Two areas uppermost in my mind these days are technology and geopolitics,” he explains. “Most business leaders struggle with both, partly because they are changing so fast. Both will play a big role in determining business outcomes in the next few decades.”

From supply chain instability to AI-driven innovation, from the rise of new digital powers to the reshaping of trade alliances - the future of enterprise will depend on leaders who can navigate complexity while maintaining a sense of purpose and direction.

Leading with Purpose in an Uncertain World

For Mohammad, the ability to lead through volatility begins with clarity of purpose. “Purpose has been central to me since the beginning,” he reflects. “In my world, it’s about empowering communities, individuals, businesses, and whole nations through better and more effective adoption of digital technologies.”

Rooted in his own story as the son of migrant parents to the UK, Mohammad’s approach to leadership is guided by service - to people, to progress, and to equitable innovation.“Younger generations today are more conscious of justice and fairness,” he says. “That awareness gives purpose a new urgency in leadership.”

Innovation, Inclusion, and Global Mindset

Mohammad is a passionate advocate for building businesses that are both innovative and inclusive - seeing equity not as a social ideal, but as a business advantage. “Without equity and inclusion, transformation can never be fair or sustainable,” he explains. “And innovation is key because our resources are limited - using them more smartly is the only way forward.”

For Muslim business leaders, he offers a reminder to expand their networks and perspectives beyond familiar circles.

“Sometimes Muslim businesses, like others, get stuck in networking only with their own. That can slow growth,” he says. “A diverse team - in thought, age, and background - opens doors to opportunity.”

A Global Lens for the Future

At Elevate 2026, Mohammad will encourage leaders to look beyond national and industry boundaries, to see how shifts in geopolitics and technology are intertwined - and how they demand new kinds of agility and moral intelligence.

“Oscar Wilde once said, ‘We may live in the gutter, but even then we can look up at the stars.’ I’d like us to remember that the world is full of opportunities - far beyond the ones we see today.”
